MINUTES OF THE
WELL AUGMENTATION SUBDISTRICT
OF THE
CENTRAL COLORADO WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT
May 19, 2020

The regular meeting of the Well Augmentation Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District was held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W 28 St, Greeley Colorado. The meeting was called to order at 10:12 AM, and the following Directors were present: Ralph Anders, President; Chad Schafer, Vice President; Bret Schmidt, Treasurer; Everett Kissler; Dave Bernhardt; Randy Knutson; Steve Bruntz; and Don Rosenbrock. Directors attending via Zoom conference were: Gary Herman; Jim Reasoner; Vern Kammerzell; Tom Brown; Doug Dill and Alan Axton. Board members absent was Frank Eckhardt.

Others present were Randy Ray, Executive Director; William Mihelich, District Engineer; Lynn Kramer, Contracts Manager; Ruthanne Schaffer, Sr Water Accountant; and Brad Grasmick of Lawrence, Jones, Custer and Grasmick. Todd Snidow of Stifel, Lauren Hix of Gallagher Insurance, and Tom Peltz with Kutak Rock attended via phone conference.

Lauren Hix reviewed the District’s insurance policy.

Todd Snidow updated the Board on the status of the WAS Bond sale. Tom Peltz spoke regarding resolutions that would need to be approved to move forward with the bond sale.

MOVE TO APPROVE THE ADDITION OF 45 ACRE FEET OF CONSUMPTIVE USE TO THE WAS HERMAN CONTRACT # 837 DUE TO THE ANADARKO/PVIC AUGMENTATION GROUP AGREEMENT’S USE OF HIS RECHARGE POND THROUGH THE 2021 IRRIGATION SEASON.

Billy Mihelich provided an update to the board about the proposed Turnback Legislation.

Subdistrict Report:

An update was given on the Walker Recharge Project.

Billy Mihelich presented the current figures for recharge and storage and reviewed the operations plans for the upcoming months.

Randy Ray showed pictures of the Shores C pump station.

Brad Grasmick gave an update on the FRICO/Burlington Bypass Structure. Further discussion will be held at the June Committee meetings.

Secretaries Report:

Office staff is back to working at the office full time and the office has been COVID 19 sanitized.
