Concrete Works of Colorado Chosen for Shores Reservoir Project
CCWCD Board of Directors made the final decision on the Shores Reservoir Complex Project at the November 20, 2018 board meeting. Concrete Works of Colorado from Lafayette held the winning bid, competing against five other Colorado companies.
Construction will begin soon and is expected to be complete in early 2019.
The overall project involves the construction of inlet and outlet water conveyance structures for the Shores Reservoir Project. Central acquired the water storage easement on the properties from Hall Irwin Construction and Bestway Concrete in 2002 and have since been utilizing the vacated gravel mining cells as water storage facilities, including the construction of many of the inlet and outlet features. This final project will complete the necessary infrastructure for the Shores Reservoir Complex.
