MINUTES OF THE WAS COMMITTEE
April 5, 2023
The meeting of the Well Augmentation Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, by Committee Chairman David Bernhardt at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were David Bernhardt, Steve Bruntz, Randy Knutson and Bret Schmidt. Committee member attending by video conference was Gary Herman. Staff members present were Randy Ray, William Mihelich, Evan McCurnin and Lynn Kramer.
Billy reviewed the status of the WAS quota and concerns regarding filling reservoirs. Discussion followed.
Randy updated the committee on a proposal from Gary Henrickson regarding water storage. Director Knutson inquired about other storage opportunities.
Randy Ray discussed attending the annual meeting of the PRBT Beeline board. Randy will attend a Special Board Meeting to educate the stockholders about CCWCD. The GMS Committee instructed staff to draft and send by certified mail a letter to the PRBT and Beeline Ditch Companies. Randy presented the letter for input from this committee.
MOVE TO SEND THE LETTER TO THE PLATTE RIVER BIG THOMPSON AND BEELINE DITCH COMPANIES BY CERTIFIED MAIL.

Randy presented a bid from WW Backhoe & Dozer for a pipeline from the Fulton Ditch to the Dittmer Recharge site.
Randy updated the committee on operations at the Walker Recharge project.
