MINUTES OF THE WAS COMMITTEE
August 2, 2023
The meeting of the Well Augmentation Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, by Committee Chairman David Bernhardt at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were David Bernhardt, Gary Herman, Randy Knutson and Bret Schmidt. Committee member absent was Steve Bruntz.
Staff members present were Randy Ray, Executive Director; William Mihelich, District Engineer; Evan McCurnin, Water Resources Analyst; Danyelle Hart, Financial Analyst and Lynn Kramer, Contracts Manager.
Danyelle Hart reviewed the 2024 WAS Budget.
Lynn Kramer presented a request from Little Platte Farm to increase the irrigated acres on their Class D Contract.
MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO ALLOW LITTLE PLATTE FARM CONTRACT #1309 TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL TEN IRRIGATED ACRES.

Director Herman inquired about progress at Shores Pond A.
Randy discussed the pipeline and storage capacity at the Schafer’s Corner Storage project. He reviewed a summary of the project and cost estimates. Billy described the need for storage in WAS. Discussion followed.
RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO HAVE STAFF BRING A CONTRACT TO THE BOARD FOR THE PURCHASE OF LAND AND WELLS FROM WESTERN EQUIPMENT & TRUCK.
