GMS Committee
August 3, 2022
The meeting of the Groundwater Management Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, by Frank Eckhardt, Committee Chairman, at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were Frank Eckhardt, Chad Schafer and Vern Kammerzell. Committee member present via Zoom was Alan Axton. Committee member absent was Tom Brown. Staff members present were Randy Ray, William Mihelich, Chris Stewart and Lynn Kramer.
Randy reviewed a summary of surface shares for sale.
Randy and Billy discussed the offer to Scott Meining regarding swapping parcels, ditch shares and irrigation wells.
MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE LETTER OF INTENT TO SCOTT MEINING WITH SUGGESTED AMENDMENTS.

Billy discussed the stipulation with the Lower Latham Reservoir Company regarding the Pioneer Reservoir.
MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE DRAFT ADDENDUM AND THE STIPULATION WITH LOWER LATHAM RESERVOIR COMPANY REGARDING CENTRAL’S PIONEER RESERVOIR CASE 19CW3088.

Randy passed around the draft agenda for the Colorado Water Congress Summer Conference in Steamboat Springs.
Randy reviewed two hunting leases between CCWCD and Honker Nation. The committee discussed amendments to the lease on the Walker property.
Randy presented a proposal from Anderson Consulting Engineers to continue the work they’re doing at the Walker project for phase two. It will be further discussed at the board meeting.
Adam Davenport from SunShare will be attending the Solar Committee meeting next month to discuss Solar Garden and Floating Garden sites.
