MINUTES OF THE CCWCD COMMITTEE
August 6, 2024

The meeting of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order by the committee chairman Don Rosenbrock at 11:10 A.M. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were Don Rosenbrock, Ralph Anders, Doug Dill, Dan Kammerzell and Everett Kissler.

Staff members present were Randy Ray, Executive Director; Billy Mihelich, District Engineer; Evan McCurnin, Water Resources Analyst; Tammy Rusch, Education Coordinator, and Danyelle Hart, Financial Analyst.

Tammy Rusch presented an Education Report and provided additional information to the committee regarding funding and the future direction of the Confluence Institute and the Well Watch Program. Scholarship applications that were received from participating high schools were discussed. Tammy also discussed the Riverdale Regional Park facilities.

The Committee provided input to staff related to the direction of the Well Watch Program and the Confluence Institute.

Randy Ray presented an Intergovernmental Agreement for the Purchase of Central’s Brighton Ditch Company Stock by the City of Aurora.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF BRIGHTON DITCH COMPANY STOCK BY THE CITY OF AURORA.

Randy Ray presented the Chatfield Allocation Agreement draft and discussed suggested edits with the Committee.

MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE CHATFIELD ALLOCATION AGREEMENT WITH THE CHANGES THAT WERE DISCUSSED.

Randy provided a funding update for the Sweet Valley Reservoir Project to the Committee and discussed the status of the construction/project and the acquisition of the remaining easements and rights-of-way necessary to complete the project.

Randy presented the preliminary budget for the next phase of construction at the Walker Recharge Project.

Danyelle Hart presented preliminary assessed valuations and potential tax revenues for fiscal year 2025 to the Committee.

The meeting was adjourned by the chairman at 12:15 P.M.
