MINUTES OF THE GMS COMMITTEE
August 7, 2024

The meeting of the Groundwater Management Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 9:05 A.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, by Committee Chairman Frank Eckhardt at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were Frank Eckhardt, John Mark, Alan Mazzotti, Calven Goza, and Chad Schafer.

Staff members present were Randy Ray, Executive Director; Billy Mihelich, District Engineer; Evan McCurnin, Water Resources Analyst and Danyelle Hart, Financial Analyst.

Billy Mihelich and Randy Ray presented the Chatfield Allocation Agreement draft and discussed suggested edits with the Committee.

MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE CHATFIELD ALLOCATION AGREEMENT WITH THE CHANGES AS DISCUSSED.

Randy provided a funding update for the Sweet Valley Reservoir Project to the Committee and discussed the status of the construction/project, the acquisition of the remaining easements and rights-of-way, planned well installation, and a crossing agreement with the Farmers Independent Ditch Company that are necessary to complete the augmentation well pipeline.

Randy presented the preliminary budget for the Bruntz/Pope extension at the Walker Recharge Project.

Randy provided an update related to negotiations to augment an unlined gravel pit that is owned by a GMS member.

Danyelle Hart presented preliminary assessed valuations and potential tax revenues for fiscal year 2025 to the Committee.

Meeting was adjourned by the chairman at 10:00 A.M.
