On November 26, 2018 the Division One Water Court approved case number: 2017CW3039 allowing 107-member wells into the Well Augmentation Subdistrict’s (WAS) augmentation plan. In February of 2017, WAS filed the application to the Water Court to add the additional wells to the WAS augmentation plan.
These wells were included in the original application (03CW99) that was filed in 2003. During the trial that followed, each contract was reduced to one well. Adding the 107 wells back into the plan doesn’t increase the water allotment of the contract holder, it does however, allow well owners more flexibility in using the water they are allocated on their farms.
