WAS Committee
January 10, 2020

The meeting of the WAS Committee of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District was called to order at 1:01 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2020 by David Bernhardt at Central’s office at 3209 West 28th Street in Greeley. Committee members present were David Bernhardt, Randy Knutson, Steve Bruntz, and Bret Schmidt. Board member absent was Gary Herman. Staff members present were Lynn Kramer, William (Billy) Mihelich, and Ruthanne Schaffer.

Billy gave an update on the Walker Recharge Project. Two recharge ponds have already been dug on the south side of the South Platte River. Wiggins is now officially a partner in the project with the agreement signed and payment received. The second phase of the pipeline has been ordered.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO SET THE RECHARGE BUY BACK CREDITS RATE TO $40 PER ACRE FOOT.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE PEGGRAM ORCHARD GRAZING LEASE.

The Committee discussed the issuance of the remainder bonds from the authorization from the 2004 WAS election.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF AN ADDITIONAL 25 FLOW CONNECT REGISTERS FOR THE MCCROMETER METER PROJECT TO BE PAID FROM GMS AND WAS FUNDS.
