MINUTES OF THE CCWCD COMMITTEE
March 7, 2023

The meeting of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 11:05 A.M. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, by Committee Chairman Don Rosenbrock at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were Don Rosenbrock, Everett Kissler and Ralph Anders. Committee members absent were Doug Dill and Dan Kammerzell. Staff members present were Randy Ray, William Mihelich, Courtney Sandoval and Lynn Kramer.

Marshall Haworth and Jon Jones with Wright Water Engineers attended the meeting to discuss their proposal for water quality monitoring and sampling at Rinn Valley and Shores Reservoirs. Staff talked about odor issues and previous sampling. Mr. Haworth described equipment needed and costs. Discussion followed.

MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO PURCHASE THE YSI PRODSS MULTIPARAMETER SAMPLING INSTRUMENT, THE PERISTALIC PUMP, A KEPLER PROBE AND A BOAT.

Randy and Billy gave a summary of the Engineering/Legal retreat.

Billy presented data addressing the moratorium on permanent transfers to post 1972 wells. Staff will bring a draft policy to the April committee meeting.

MOVE TO INSTRUCT STAFF TO DEVELOP A POLICY REGARDING PERMANENT CONTRACT TRANSFERS TO POST 1972 WELLS.

Randy discussed purchasing Chatfield shares for municipal demand.

Randy presented the updated Capital Projects budget.

Randy presented a donation request from the Weld County Fair.

MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO DONATE $500 TO THE WELD COUNTY FAIR.

Courtney described issues with the Water Quality database and presented a proposed Scope of Services from LRE Water to upgrade the Water Quality Data Viewing Website.

MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AND BUDGET WITH LRE WATER TO UPGRADE THE WATER QUALITY DATA VIEWING WEBSITE.
