MINUTES OF THE GMS COMMITTEE
MAY 5, 2023
The meeting of the Groundwater Management Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, May 5, 2023, by Frank Eckhardt, Committee Chairman, at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were Frank Eckhardt, Vern Kammerzell, Alan Axton and Alan Mazzotti. Committee member attending by phone was Chad Schafer. Staff members present were Randy Ray, William Mihelich, Evan McCurnin and Lynn Kramer.
Randy reviewed a meeting with Burnco regarding outstanding issues at Shores, Bernhardt and Nissen.
A&W Water has asked to lease effluent from the City of Longmont to GMS in exchange for additional well pumping. Billy described the volumes.
MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO INCREASE THE PUMPING BY 35 ACRE FEET ON CONTRACT #278 AND ALLOW STAFF TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH A&W WATER FOR 70 ACRE FEET OF REPLACEMENT WATER.

Randy reviewed a report from Civil Resources on the Schafer Corner Project. Discussion followed.
Randy updated the committee on the Meining-Nelson aug well pipeline. The committee discussed several options and instructed staff to continue negotiations.
Randy discussed a request from SunShare to vacate a pipeline easement on the NW1/4 of Section 15, Township 4 North, Range 66 West.
Billy presented three senior water acquisitions.
MOVE TO INSTRUCT STAFF TO PURSUE THE 1/3 SHARE PVIM AND 1 & 1/3 SHARE PVIC AT THE PRICE DISCUSSED.

The committee will discuss assessment rate increases at the July meeting.
