GMS Committee
May 6, 2020

The meeting of the GMS Committee of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District was called to order at 9:11 A.M. on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 by Frank Eckhardt at Central’s office at 3209 West 28th Street in Greeley. Committee members present were Frank Eckhardt, and Vern Kammerzell. Alan Axton was present via phone conference. Staff members present were Randy Ray, Ruth Schaffer, and William (Billy) Mihelich.

Randy gave an update on the Walker Recharge Project. Hydro completed drilling and setting all the surface casings. Column pipes and well screens will start arriving in the next few days.

The bid will go out soon for the pipeline that ties all the wells together.

Billy Mihelich updated the committee on the Kiowa project., the pipes between pits 1-3 are finished.

Herman Pond #1 compensation was discussed.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO SUPPORT GARY HERMAN FOR THE USE OF HIS RECHARGE POND FOR THE PVIC AUP GROUP / ANADARKO AGREEMENT.

An update was given on the Bernhardt Reservoir Complex. Bernhardt Cell 4 is now completely mined and now they will go back to Cell 2 to finish mining.

Discussion was held regarding plans to build the pump station in the river.

Staff asked to bring preliminary numbers to the next committee meeting on building the pipeline infrastructure so we can fill Bernhardt pits 2, 3 and 4 by gravity.

Update on Chatfield.

Chairman Frank Eckhardt adjourned the meeting at 11:20A.M.
