GMS Committee
NOVEMBER 3, 2021

The meeting of the GMS Committee of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District was called to order at 9:02 A.M. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, by Frank Eckhardt at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were Vern Kammerzell, Frank Eckhardt, and Chad Schafer. Committee member present via Zoom was Alan Axton. Committee member absent was Tom Brown. Staff members present were Randy Ray, William (Billy) Mihelich, Danyelle Hart, Lynn Kramer, and Ruthanne Schaffer. No guests were present.

Randy gave an update on water acquisitions staff have been working on.

Bids went out for Bernhardt Reservoir pump station; they are due by the November Board meeting.

Plumb ditch enlargement has now been settled with Lower Latham.

Wildland Hydrology will present a cost to the Board this month for the Walker Recharge Project. Anticipated start date is January 2022.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AS PRESENTED FOR THE WALKER BANK RESTORATION.

CWCB approved the grant for Walker Recharge to GMS.

Sorin/DJWRP will present an offer to Central for leasing storage space in Nissen/Pioneer Reservoirs in January.

Randy gave an update on the Chatfield IGA Agreements.

Randy gave an update on the Meining Farm and has a vacation hearing scheduled for November 15th.

Randy reviewed the notes from Canfield and staff member John Mark to rehab the Orchard recharge wells.

Danyelle reviewed the updated GMS Budget for 2022.

RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE DRAFT GMS BUDGET WITH THE CHANGES AS DISCUSSED.

Lynn and Billy spoke to the Committee regarding Adams County’s request for gravel pit evaporation coverage. Staff to bring additional information to the Committee.

Chairman Frank Eckhardt adjourned the meeting at 11:10 A.M.
