The Robert W. Walker Recharge site was dedicated to long standing member of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Board of Directors. “Bob” served as president of the Board from 1981 to 2003. Accepting the resolution in Bob’s honor was his wife Mildred, sons Shane and Ed and daughters Tami and Cheryll.

The Robert W. Walker Recharge Project land was purchased in December of 2016. First water was pumped in June of 2021 into 3-recharge ponds associated with the project that were constructed that same year with a combined surface area of approximately 30 acres.
