MINUTES OF THE WAS COMMITTEE
September 6, 2023
The meeting of the Well Augmentation Subdistrict of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District Committee was called to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, by Committee Chairman David Bernhardt at the office of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District located at 3209 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Committee members present were David Bernhardt, Gary Herman, Randy Knutson and Bret Schmidt. Absent was Steve Bruntz.
Staff members present were Randy Ray, Executive Director; William Mihelich, District Engineer; Evan McCurnin, Water Resources Analyst; Danyelle Hart, Financial Analyst and Lynn Kramer, Contracts Manager.
Danyelle Hart reviewed the 2024 WAS Budget.
Randy reviewed an Easement Agreement and map for the Kunzman recharge pond.
Randy described plans for the pipeline and reservoir at the Meining Augmentation Project.
Randy updated the committee on a senior water and land purchase.
Lynn Kramer provided information on the WAS assessment structure.
MOVE TO RECOMMEND TO THE BOARD TO KEEP THE CURRENT WAS ASSESSMENT STRUCTURE FOR 2024.

The committee discussed creating a policy regarding limiting the amount of consumptive use a Water Allotment Contract could acquire.
